Meat and Eggs
We offer Pork, Lamb, Turkey and Chicken. All of our livestock is free ranged on pasture. Free range, to us, means that they are allowed out at the crack of dawn and are allowed to range on pasture until sunset. Raising stock the natural way gives us a healthy, melt in your mouth tender meat..
Meat, eggs, and dairy products from pasture animals are ideal for your health. Compared with commercial animals, we offer you more "good" fats, and fewer "bad" fats. They are richer in antioxidants including vitamin E, beta-carotene and vitamin C. Meat from grass-fed animals has four times more omega-3 than grain-fed animals. Omega-3 is called "good" fats because they play a vital role in every cell and system in your body. People who have ample amounts of omega-3 in their diet are less likely to have high blood pressure and heart problems. Another benefit of omega-3 is that they may reduce your risk of some cancers. In animal studies, these essential fats have slowed the growth of some cancers and also kept them from spreading.
THE CLA BONUS. Meat and dairy products from grass-fed animals are the richest known source of another "good" fat called "conjugated linoleic acid" or CLA. When animals are raised on fresh pasture alone, they contain from three to five times more CLA than animals fed conventional diets. CLA may be one of the most potent defences against cancer. In animal studies, a very small percentage of CLA to calories was given and it greatly reduced tumor growth. Other studies show that CLA may also reduce cancer risk in humans.
